Pastor Mark Sage was born in Ohio. He
graduated from High School in 1988,
graduating two weeks early in order to join
the U.S. Marine Corps. He became a Christian
when he was a boy, but ran from God as a
teenager. It was not until he was stationed
in Okinawa that he got his life on track for
God. The reason was because of a small
church that was interested in reaching the
military with the gospel and helping them to
grow in their walk with Christ. His life has
never been the same since November of 1988.
He followed the Lord’s leading and
surrendered his life to preach the gospel.
Later, after the Marines, he went to study
Pastoral Theology at Oklahoma Baptist
College where he graduated in 1998. He then
served two years as an Assistant Pastor.
Early in the year of 2000, he and his family
surrendered to be military missionaries. In
2002 they went to Puerto Rico and started
Victory Baptist Church in order to reach the
military and civilians in the San Juan area.
In September of 2005, he became the Pastor
of Yokosuka Baptist Church. His wife
Stephanie, who originates from the Chicago
area, and their daughters Hannah, Elisabeth,
and Rachel accompany him. |
