Meet Pastor and Missy Jellison

In the winter of 2005, while at a Missions Possible retreat in Rothenburg Germany, the Jellison’s surrendered to Missions. After retiring from the US Air Force in April 2012, the Lord moved them to work at a children’s home in Tampa Florida.

It was at this children's home, during the early part of 2013, that they accepted the call and surrendered to Missions focusing on the US military. This is also when Stuart began his studies to earn his Bible degree (Graduate of Theology) through International Bible Institute which he completed in January 2015.
After serving on staff at Maranatha Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan from June 2013 - May 2015, the Jellisons partnered with BIMI and started deputation. In August 2017, they returned to Okinawa and founded/pastored North Shore Baptist Church until God led them to accept the call to pastor Yokosuka Baptist Church (YBC) in December 2020.

Since the transition to mainland Japan, Pastor Stu and Mrs Missy have been faithfully ministering to the people of Yokosuka Naval Base and the city of Yokosuka. They have lead YBC through many changes including the renovation and purchase of their current facility. Many lives have been impacted for Christ through this ministry.

As YBC continues to reach their community, Pastor Stu and Mrs Missy continue to love, pray for, and help the members as they grow in Christ.
